Our 100% natural, Rosemary & Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Shampoo Bar is our wonderful environmentally friendly and natural alternative to the chemical laden, commercial shampoos on the market.

We use a special blend of hair nourishing oils & butters together with organic raw ACV for its amazing, health & therapeutic qualities for the scalp & hair. We include an infusion of organic rosemary grown on our property, together with 100% pure rosemary essential oil to encourage hair growth by stimulating the scalp and helping with circulation around the hair follicles. Rosemary is also known to fight dandruff and nourish hair, whilst also scenting the bar beautifully - and no - this shampoo bar does not smell like ACV at all!

You won't find any kind of detergents, SLS, sulfates, synthetic foaming chemicals, parabens, or other nasties in our shampoo bars (or anything else in our range!), only pure goodness and NO plastic single use packaging!

Curious to try a natural shampoo bar? Why not give it a go?! Save your scalp and unwanted packaging waste!

DIRECTIONS:  Completely saturate hair with warm water. Make sure the water has penetrated the hair and it is completely soaked and wet. Rub the bar between your hands to later it up, then across your hair starting and concentrating at the scalp and then moving down the hair shaft.  Lather will be very rich, thick and plentiful.

*Note: Product build-up, oil, etc. on the hair can severly hinder lather. Repeat process of necessary.

Natural conditioner options:

Option 1: (what I do) Make up your own conditioning hair rinse using 1Tbs of ACV to 1 cup of water (you can add a few drops of essential oil as well for a pleasant scent).

Apply to the scalp and wet the hair, leaving it on for a couple of minutes then rinse out.

ACV rebalances the pH of the scalp & helps close the hair shaft. It acts as a de-tangler (even in my long thick wavy hair!). Hair is left shiny and clean.

NB: your hair WILL NOT smell like vinegar once it’s dried.

I actually make up a batch of this and store it in a spray bottle in the shower. I spray it onto my wet hair in the shower and then rinse it out. Using the spray on method, 500mls in a bottle lasts me about a month.

Option 2: use a good quality natural ingredient based cream conditioner that you can buy from the health food store.

It’s true, there can be a brief transition period when you switch from the chemicals in traditional shampoos to a natural shampoo, and for some people, results can initially be displeasing. When you first begin, your hair or scalp may become oily or dry, or your hair “just not look like it did before”.  Perseverance is key! This initial result is your hair adjusting to the cleansing of the build up of synthetics in the hair. Please do not shampoo everyday, allow the oils to penetrate, give your hair a good brushing to bring down the oils on each strand from scalp to the ends.

This transitional period can be a few days to two weeks for others (for me is was a week, for others no transition time at all!). It really depends on how damaged your hair is, how frequently you used products with SLS/SLES, different hair types and hair lengths.

But you know what they say... you’ll never know if you don’t try!

Switching to a more natural lifestyle takes patience and a little effort sometimes, but the result is cleaner health, body, and world.
